Product Manager - Fraud Protection

PaymentWorks is hiring a Product Manager who will play a pivotal role for both the company and the Product Management team. You’ll collaborate with customers, internal teams, the VP of Product, the Partnerships organization, and C-level executives to execute both Corporate and Product initiatives. You’ll serve as the team’s subject matter expert for the Fraud Protection solutions, building a deep understanding of both opportunities for innovation as well as process inefficiencies, gaps, and problem areas. You’ll bring that knowledge back to the organization and develop a roadmap that maximizes the value we deliver!

What we expect from this role:

Voice of Customer: You know where your products are headed and why it matters. You have a strong understanding of the market and competitive landscape and will execute a strategy that delivers measurable business results; including revenue growth, usage growth, customer acquisition and retention.
Decision Making: You ask the hard questions that others won’t. You will challenge the organization to keep the customer in mind when making difficult prioritization decisions that reflect the product’s vision, strategy, and goals.
Business and Financial Acumen: You will uphold business objectives. You’ll lead efforts to develop and present business cases that articulate product value, timelines, and financials to obtain organizational support.
Execution: You are detail-oriented and will obsess over team-wide processes and efficiencies to continuously improve interactions between Product, Engineering, and all other stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

Create value for our users and the business: your objective is to create successful business outcomes through product insight and execution.
Work directly with the Engineering team to execute on your Product initiatives.
Product owner responsibilities: Ensure user stories are “ready”, backlog grooming, close collaboration with Engineering team, release tracking, story acceptance, etc.
Product lifecycle management from concept to launch, including documentation and training.
Establish strong relationships with customers, users, partners, and to inform strategic and tactical roadmap priorities.
Lead, define, represent and communicate your product strategy to all stakeholders, both internal and external.
Collaborate with internal customers to ensure the successful release of new functionality.

Desired Experience:

Previous Product Management experience (10+ years) preferred. Ideally in fintech, security, and/or SaaS applications in any combination
Experience in startups or small company environments
Fluent in all aspects of Product Management and the Pragmatic framework from the “market side” (sizing, pricing, value-proposition, sales enablement) to the “product side” (roadmap, engineering-interaction, launches, user-tests, documentation) – to name a few.
Familiarity with Product Management Jira and Confluence.
